Safe Drive Training invite South-east Queensland driving enthusiasts to sample the delights of Armidale in the New England Highlands in Northern New South Wales.
Apart from the fine food, cold winters, beautiful scenery and great art galleries, Armidale is also home to the New South Wales Traffic Education Centre one of the largest driver training centres in Australia.
Tour Itinerary:
DAY 1:
6:00 am Participants meet in Brisbane, depart convoy style.
7:30 am Convoy arrives Rathdowney for full continental breakfast served by our chef.
8:30 am Convoy depart for 200km to Tenterfield along some of the best driving roads in Australia. Mostly little known back-roads, with low traffic volumes and great scenery (all bitumen).
11:30 am Refuel in Tenterfield and gourmet lunch served.
2:30 pm Arrive Armidale and check into accommodation*.
3:00 pm 2 hours of Performance driving events at the NSW Traffic Education Centre in Armidale. Using one of the largest skid pans in Australia.
5:30 pm Recovery time
DAY 2:
9:00 am 2.5 hours of Performance driving events at the NSW Traffic Education Centre in Armidale. Using both the skid pan and highway driving circuit.
11:30 am Depart Armidale via different route.
12:30 pm Lunch served by our chef at scenic location.
1:15 pm Return drive to Brisbane (4 hours)

Cost: $440 per car (based on 15 cars attending)
Terms and Conditions:
- Dinner on Day 1, breakfast on Day 2, fuel, travel expenses and accommodation are not included and are at participants expense
- The tour is subject to road and weather conditions
- A 20% deposit is required upon reservation
- Full payment is required 14 days before departure
- All designated drivers must have a current drivers licence
- All designated drivers may be required to undertake a alcohol breath test at any point during the event.
- We reserve the right to exclude participants from the event for dangerous/reckless driving.
- A minimum of 10 full paying cars are required to ensure the tour commences.
Northern Territory Driving Tours
Safe Drive Training invite overseas driving enthusiasts to the Northern Territory of Australia for the ultimate Adventure in Driving.
See the outback of Australia at open/unlimited speed limits behind the wheel of a performance car.
There are few places on earth (especially in developed countries) were motorists are permitted to safely and legally drive free of set speed limits on well engineered highways. Travel exclusively through remote Central Australia in a convoy of cars linked via radio communicators.
Packages available include 11 or 14 day tours with 5 star or 3 star accommodation.

Day 1: Darwin
- Sightseeing tour around Darwin City
- 1/2 day drivers briefing and training

Day 2: Advanced Driver Training
- Full day driver training program at the Hidden Valley Motorsport Complex preparing all participants for the unique driving adventure awaiting them.
Day 3: Darwin to Katherine (320km)
- Great drive through outback Australia
- Special driving stage along challenging drivers roads
- Fabulous 1/2 day cruise along the Katherine Gorge or Barramundi fishing charter
Day 4: Katherine to Tennant Creek (677km)
- Open speed limit drive down the Stuart Highway
- Authentic Australiana lunch
Day 5: Tennant Creek to Alice Springs (506 km)
- Gourmet lunch at the Devils Marbles (a world renowned rock formation)
- Dinner (and maybe a few bets) at Lassiters Casino
Day 6: Alice Springs Tour (300 km)
- 1/2 day tour visiting Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm and Glen Helen Homestead
- 1/4 mile passes at the Alice Springs Drag Strip
Day 7: Alice Springs to Yulara Resort (443 km)
- Watch the sunset and colours change over Ulura (Ayers Rock)
- Magnificent dinner overlooking the Australian Outback
Day 8: Yulara Tour (125 km)
- Climb Uluru (Ayers Rock) if you dare, or take a scenic walk around the base
