In South-east Queensland, Safe Drive Training conducts the majority of its driver training programs at the QLD ADVANCED DRIVER EDUCATION CENTRE. This complex has been established by the management of Willowbank Raceway as part of the new Ipswich Motorsport Precinct at Willowbank. The Queensland Minister for Transport officially opened the driver training centre on October 8, 1998.
Driver training facilities available at the QLD ADVANCED DRIVER EDUCATION CENTRE and Ipswich Motorsport Precinct include;AN INTERNATIONAL STANDARD DAY/NIGHT GO-KART RACING CIRCUIT (Ipswich Kart Club)
- A 50 SEAT LECTURE THEATRE
- 2 LARGE BITUMEN DRIVER DEVELOPMENT AREAS
- A SKID AWARENESS AREA
- A ONE MILE BITUMEN BRAKING SHUTE/TRAFFIC SIMULATION AREA
- A 2.45 km DIRT TOURING CAR CIRCUIT (Ipswich and West Moreton Auto Club)
- A 3.25 km BITUMEN TOURING CAR CIRCUIT (Queensland Raceway)
The QLD ADVANCED DRIVER EDUCATION CENTRE is located in the heart of South-east Queensland at the new Ipswich motorsport precinct; within one hours drive of population centres such as Warwick, Boonah, Beaudesert, Gatton, Toowoomba, Esk, Ipswich, Greater Brisbane, Logan City, Beenleigh and the Gold Coast.
